MUST DO Holiday Events and Activities In Palm Beach County

The holidays are here and that means we have the opportunity to enjoy a lot of festive events across Palm Beach County in 2024. To save you time (and sanity), I’ve put together a list of the biggest local Christmas events, Hanukkah events, and other holiday activities. This list will be updated regularly, so make sure to save it for later!

There are lots of Santa events in this list, but I also have a list specifically of where to take photos with Santa in Palm Beach County.

West Palm Beach, FL Holiday Events 2024

Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting – Sandi Tree Lighting

• Date: Thursday, December 5, 6 PM – 10 PM
• Location: The Great Lawn, West Palm Beach waterfront, 100 Clematis Street West Palm Beach, FL 33401
• Price: FREE admission (ride on the Ferris wheel are $5 per person, plus taxes and fees)
• Details: Sandi, the world’s only 35-foot, 700-ton holiday sand tree, will debut at the Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting with a dynamic light and music show. This year’s Holiday in Paradise Presented by FPL theme is “Sandi Shares Harmony.” While traveling during the off-season, Sandi met Harmony, the leader of a Happy Herd of Llamas, who inspired this year’s theme. There will also be a 50-foot Ferris wheel, other accompanying sand sculptures besides Sandi, and a 50-ton sand bar where kids can play. The celebration will feature music by Uncle Morty’s Rhythm Cream (R&B/Soul/Rock/Cover) and will include FREE and special entertainment, including strolling entertainment, photos with Santa, and much more. A holiday shopping bazaar featuring local artisans will occur in the Lake Pavilion. Note: music, activities, and the bazaar take place until 9 PM; Sandi shows and rides on Ferris continue until 10 PM.

Sandi Tree

• Date: December 5 – December 31, 2024, 6 PM – 10 PM (shows will be extended on New Year’s Eve through midnight)

Outdoor Ice Skating And Winter Wonderland at The Ben West Palm Hotel

• Hours of Operation: Monday –  Friday 2:30 PM – 10 PM, Weekends 9:30 AM – 10 PM (There will be multiple ice resurfacing breaks per day. Check the official calendar for special hours and closures.)

• Details: The Ben, an Autograph Collection Hotel is the home to the first and only outdoor ice-skating rink and exclusive winter wonderland experience in West Palm Beach. The Ben Hotel’s Winter Wonderland will transform its outdoor space into an “Instagramable” escape, with specialized lighting, music, and festive decorations designed to make guests feel as though they have stepped into a faraway snow-capped village while still under Florida’s palm trees. Families, friends, and couples are invited to lace up their skates and enjoy a real outdoor ice-skating rink. The Winter Wonderland experience will not stop at ice skating. The Ben Hotel will offer themed food and beverages inspired by cozy winter lodges, along with a VIP area for special guests. The space will host a variety of seasonal events, including family-friendly activities and exclusive themed parties throughout the duration of the installation. Ice skates are available for the entire family to rent, and all ages are welcome to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. Sunday on the Waterfront featuring the Aloha Islanders Tropical Holiday Spectacular

• Date: Sunday, December 15, 2024, 4 PM – 7 PM

• Details: The annual vibrant, high-energy, and authentic Polynesian show is popular with guests of all ages and is consistently the most popular Sunday on the Waterfront show annually. The Islanders take the audience on a journey through Polynesia using pulsating drums, beautiful hula dancers, and exciting Samoan fire knife dancers to make guests feel truly transported. The event will also feature the annual conch-blowing contest.

Sandi and Santa’s Annual Pancake Breakfast

• Date: Sunday, December 8, 2024, 9:30 AM – 11 AM

• Details: The event includes private access to Santa and Mrs. Claus and the only daytime ride on Ferris, the 50-foot Ferris wheel.

Harvest Vendor Market at Tanger Outlets (formerly the Palm Beach Outlets)

Family Fun Night & Stroll Thru The Lights Night at Okeeheelee Park

• Date: Sunday, November 24, 2024, 6 PM – 9 PM
• Location: Okeeheelee Park, 7715 Forest Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33413
• Price: $20 per person, children under age 5 are free
• Details: For one night only, guests of all ages can enjoy a stroll or light jog thru the spectacular light display at Okeeheelee Park (this is usually only a drive-thru attraction). In addition to enjoying the lights, you will be able to access our Family Fun Zone which will have bounces houses, trackless train ride, face painting, music, movies, and much more. Enjoy vendor village, and enjoy delicious food trucks with a variety of options (for purchase) to fill you up for the evening. Scooters, bikes, skateboards, or any items as such will NOT be permitted inside the event.

Drive Thru Christmas Lights Show at Okeeheelee Park

  • Near Micanopy Pavilion, after the soccer fields, before Pooch Pines Dog Park. Enter Okeeheelee Park at the intersection of Forest Hill Blvd and Eshleman Trail. Proceed northbound into the park at the intersection and continue straight until you reach the show entrance.

• Details: Lights 4 Hope, Inc presents its 7th annual light show. This is a drive-thru light show containing over 2 miles of animated and musical holiday light displays. Pre-purchase your ticket online or pay cash/credit/ApplePay at the event gate. Proceeds from this event benefit local children and families suffering with life-altering diseases and diagnoses. This is a drive-thru event. All participants are to remain in their vehicles at all times. No exceptions. Speed limit is 5 MPH through the event. Drivers must adhere to all traffic laws.

Zoo Lights at Palm Beach Zoo

Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade 2024

• Date: Wednesday, December 4, 2024; 7:30 PM – 9 PM
• Location: Downtown Boca along Federal Highway. The parade will start at Federal Highway and SE 5th Street, and travel north to the Mizner Park Amphitheater.

• Details: The City of Boca Raton is hosting its 52nd annual Holiday Street Parade and it will feature decorated floats and community groups which will entertain viewers as they bring dancing, lighting, and music to Federal Highway in Downtown Boca. 2024 theme: “Winter Wonderland.”

Meet Santa at Town Center at Boca Raton

  • Sunday, December 8, 2024, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Caring Santa – a special, sensory-friendly experience – exclusively for children with special needs and their families.
• Location: Town Center at Boca Raton Mall, 6000 Glades Road, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Santa is located at the Nordstrom Court (mall entrance near Maggie McFly’s).
• Prices and details: Regular photo print packages range from $39.99 to $49.99 (they have a $19.99 option that lets you reserve your appointment and choose a regular photo print package later). Note: Multiple families are scheduled during the selected 15-minute time period. A special, 1-on-1, 15-minute Signature Santa Experience can be purchased for $149.99. Reservations are recommended. All participants will receive a Santa Suit costume!  You will also receive a pair of Jingle Bells to tie to your running shoes! The sights and sounds of running Santas will take over Anchor Park! You can bring your dogs too and dress them up as reindeer. There will be a water stop at approximately Mile 1 & 2 of the course. 40th Annual Wellington Holiday Parade

• Date: Sunday, December 8, 2024, 1:30 PM
• Location: Forest Hill Boulevard, from Wellington Trace to Ken Adams Way

• Details: Celebrate the Holidays with one of Wellington’s favorite annual traditions, the Annual Holiday Parade, hosted in partnership with the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. The 2024 event is celebrating 40 years of fun and festivities with a “Rockin’ in the Holidays” theme. The judged parade is filled with imaginative floats, marching bands, characters, dance troupes, and more.
• Road Closures: During the parade, Forest Hill Boulevard is closed from its northern intersection at Wellington Trace to South Shore Boulevard. Please seek alternate routes during this time. 
• Parking Info: Parking is available at Wellington’s Town Center (12300 Forest Hill Blvd). Please be advised that vehicles parked at Town Center will NOT be able to exit until the conclusion of the parade.

• Price: Regular photo print packages range from $39.99 to $49.99 (they have a $19.99 option that lets you reserve your appointment and choose a regular photo print package later). Note: Multiple families are scheduled during the selected 15-minute time period. Reservations are recommended. Guests with reservations are seen first, but walk ups are welcome every day until closing time.
