Going to the local farmer’s markets is one of the most popular weekend activities in Palm Beach County and there are many to choose from, especially during the winter 2024 season.
Whether you’re a resident or just visiting, these markets offer a unique opportunity to savor fresh produce, discover handcrafted goods, and soak in the local culture.
Here’s your guide to the most popular farmer’s markets in Palm Beach County.
West Palm Beach GreenMarket

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is considered the best farmer’s market in Palm Beach County and the second best farmer’s market in the United States by USA Today’s “10 Best”. However, from 2021-2023 it was in the top spot of the USA Today list. This year, the #1 spot went to Worthington Farmers Market in Worthington, Ohio.
It features seasonal produce, unique offerings, live music, and pop-up workshops. Don’t miss the popular Master Chef Showcase competition every second Saturday where local chefs and vendors compete for the WPB GreenMarket Master Chef title.
This is the West Palm Beach GreenMarket’s 30th season and it is also the largest in its history, with more than 130 vendors. It originally opened in November 1995 and has been a constant source of pride for the community.

Delray Beach GreenMarket

The Delray Beach GreenMarket is the second most popular farmer’s market around here (but personally, it’s my favorite). You’ll find it at Old School Square Park (in front of the Cornell Art Museum) on NE 2nd Avenue, a half block north of Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach.
The beginnings of this market goes back to 1996! You’ll find over 70 farmers, bakers a small batch culinary artists. There is also live music and a bi-weekly Chef Showcase. It has a fun, coastal and laid-back atmosphere and you can enjoy more shopping or dining on Atlantic Ave. before or after the market. Truly a lovely experience for the whole family.
While the Delray Beach GreenMarket takes place in the winter, there is also a smaller version that takes place in the summer. The Delray Summer Green Market runs from June to July with approximately 30 vendors.

And yes, as the name suggests, this farmer’s market takes next to Lake Wellington and lakeside residents can even arrive to the market by boat.

At this market, you’ll find over 100 vendors in total. There are local food products like: fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices, fresh seafood, local honey, and fresh baked goods.
The bazaar is what sets this farmer’s market apart. You’ll find artists and crafters selling jewelry and other handmade crafts.

Pro Tips for Visiting Farmer’s Markets
- Go early: Markets can get crowded, and the best items can sell out fast.
- Bring cash: While most vendors accept cards, some don’t and having cash on hand can make transactions quicker.
